Troll? Perhaps. My guess is that you are simply a believer. That's OK. No need to berate non-believers. Something has existed forever - that we can all agree on. Whether or not this energy or force is with or without "personality" is entirely a matter of faith. Neither can be proved. It could be that which we refer to as "God" is simply a non-interventionalist. We could also be part of some very advanced computer simulation. Its also quite possible that there simply is no God - its actually a very plausible explanation. Scary but very reasonable, and more in line with direct observation and known facts than theism imo. Personally, I'm a faith practicing Deist with Buddhist leanings and a strong foundation in Christianity. What the hell does that mean? Makes about as much sense as existence. Perhaps a better question is "why is there something rather than nothing"? Do you love God? That is great. Do you love Jesus? That is awesome. Now just love others, leave the judging to them and do something to make the world a better place. Pretty sure that's what they would want. Peace.

People hate God?
by looter init is a pain that certain individuals pride themselves on hating god, who created everything.
like it's understandable that you choose to not believe in him because of your selfishness or thinking skills but to hate him is forcing it a bit.
i'm very thankful that those such as myself have the courage to believe in the lord.

New Provision to Assist Us to Abstain From Blood - Dec KM
by truthseeker inif you wondered whether the society would print blood cards this year, they won't.
blood cards are out.. consider the box found on the december km, entitled "new provision to assist us to abstain from blood".
the governing body has approved combining the essential elements of the durable power of attorney (dpa) document and the advance.

I would suggest writing a letter to your doctor explaining exactly what is going on in detail. Let him or her know precisely what your wishes are regarding the use of blood, blood fractions, etc. Keep a copy of that letter folded up in your wallet with his contact information. Be certain not to carry any old WTS "no blood" documents on your person. If the elders press your husband, he should tell them that you are "too fragile" emotionally to press on any of these issues and under professional care. i.e. back the fuck down. (pardon my french).

Ran into an ex JW this afternoon. One of her daughters has gone completely off the rails. Turns out JW daddy had been abusing her. Its a deep, deep well of poison in the JW community.

Elders harassing me
by raven inhi everyone, it has been a while since i've last updated!
(refer to my previous posts for the full story) here is a quick re-cap: 2 months ago my mother found out that i am living with my boyfriend, she told me i was discovered by an "anonymous" tipper who turned me in for "living in sin".. first of all, that is nearly impossible, the congregation i was in is 100's of miles away from where i currently live.. no one would have ever known i was living with my boyfriend unless i told them, which i never did, i cut off all communication with that congregation in part of my attempted fade which was blown into pieces and discovered.. anyways, my mom tells me if i don't go to the elders and confess like a good little sheep, then she is obligated to tell them.. ( don't see why, i don't even live under her roof ) well i never went to them because why should i?
so they met with my mother and she told them i live with my boyfriend... let me remind you, this was two months ago.. i was told i was going to be df'd and that was that.

Probably easier on you if you don't get DF'd. Question becomes, what is the best way to accomplish that? Answer depends on what they have in the way of Witnesses, what exactly you've told your mother or others, etc.
I would not be inclined to acknowledge they have any authority over you whatsoever. If there were some way to send their letter back as undeliverable with no forwarding address, that would be ideal. Otherwise, I think I'd probably just ignore it. If you talk with your mom, I would not admit that you received any letter.
The whole point here being that you probably have at least some JW family and friends you'd still like to have contact with from time to time. If that is not the case, I don't think what you do matters to much.

Little talk about blood fractions
by wannaexit init appears that watchtower is distancing itself from the blood fractions.
the new "blood card" doesn't mention them and any mention of blood in the watchtower ignores fractions.
i wander if they are going back to their hard stance.

Wannaexit. Can you post the card for us?
Thanks

Sad to say, I was a "true believer" right up until the end, or pretty close to it. At the very end, I would do many of the things already mentioned, and didn't use anything other than the Bible at the door. I can remember when I was in my teens, I was a regular pioneer and the sons of the city overseer use to joke that they would walk up to the doors, and not ring the bell or knock - simply stand there hoping no one would walk up to answer the door. They told me it almost always worked, and they rarely had to speak to anyone. I thought it was terrible at the time, but obviously, they had it right, and I was just too brain washed to see through the bull shit.

Russian Supreme Court takes a Stand on the Blood Issue
by Lee Elder inin a move that will certainly be carefully analyzed, the russian supreme court has upheld a lower court ban on jehovah's witnesses, in large part due to their controversial policy on the remaining prohibition of whole blood and some blood products that remain essential in certain emergency situations and conditions.
